Live viewing the cameras isn't instant - from the Android app or the website, there is definitely about a 5 second lag time. The setup is easy and I haven't had any glitches with the cam communicating with the base station. Another good feature is that Nest e-mails you every time there is a break in Wi-Fi service. The Nest camera system would be a great security camera system but it is also ideal to help and keep track of elderly parents. Very easy to install, great quality of video and perfect size.

Wireless - this is a big one and is amazing. However, know that some of the CONs are a direct result of them being wireless. You kind of have to weigh your options - some of the wired cameras may be superior if you can run wires. It does capture based on motion within its range but doesnt have night vision. I have few recordings at night but cant see a thing in there as it pitch dark. You cannot arm/disarm the motion sensing of the individual cameras. Either they are are all armed or disarmed.
